Comet Class

This week, we learned about sheep and the wool they give us! We watched a short video about sheering sheep and then we got to practice ourselves on a cardboard sheep covered in shaving cream! The kids got to pretend they were sheep farmers as they used hair clippers made of cardboard to shave off the “wool” made of shaving cream. They kids had such a fun time!
今週は羊と羊毛について学びました！羊の毛刈りについての短いビデオを見た後、シェービングクリームを塗った厚紙の羊で毛刈りの練習をした！子供たちは羊農家になったつもりで、段ボールでできたバリカンを使って、シェービングクリームでできた「羊毛」を刈り取った。子供たちはとても楽しんでいた！

We also took a stroll at the Ueda Castle Ruins Park were we got to visit some animals, like chickens, rabbits, and a big peacock! Next, we walked around looking for a samurai (which we didn’t find!), so we played in the park instead!
また、上田城跡公園を散策し、ニワトリやウサギ、大きなクジャクなどの動物を見学した！次に、サムライを探して歩いた（見つけられなかった！）ので、代わりに公園で遊んだ！

We also had three September birthday boys that we celebrated with this week. Before singing happy birthday, we had Comet Class and Rocket Class show off their Sports Day dances to the nursery classes.
また、今週は3人の9月生まれの男の子が誕生しました。ハッピーバースデーを歌う前に、CometとRocket組に運動会のダンスを披露してもらいました。

We can’t wait for Halloween, so we already started crafting a festive Halloween wreath! It’s a work in progress. The finished product will be amazing!
ハロウィンが待ちきれないので、すでにハロウィン・リースを作り始めた！現在進行中です。完成品は素晴らしいものになるでしょう！

Rocket Class

Besides the birthday party mentioned above, we had a fun time swimming, playing the pianika, and playing at the nearby shrine.
上記の誕生日パーティーのほかにも、泳いだり、ピアニカを弾いたり、近くの神社で遊んだりと楽しい時間を過ごした。
