We started last week (May 16-20) off with a splash as we took a dip in the Sports City Chikuma’s swimming pool. Though some of the students were nervous to get into the water at first, everyone was all smiles by the end! This time, we practiced getting used to standing and walking in water and we are looking forward to more swim time starting from June onward.

先週（5月16日～20日）は、スポーツシティ千曲のプールで水しぶきを浴びながらスタートしました。最初は水に入ることに緊張していた子どももいましたが、最後にはみんな笑顔でプールを楽しんでいました！ 今回は、水の中で立ったり歩いたりすることに慣れる練習をしました。みんな、また次回からのスイミングの時間をとても楽しみにしています。

This week’s UOI lessons focused on LOI 2: Myself and People Around Me. We had a lot of fun discovering what makes us different and similar to one another, and the students presented a coloring page about their favorite color to the class. We learned and reminded ourselves about the colors of the rainbow by practicing a special color song and playing color-related games as well.

今週のUOIレッスンは、LOI 2: 自分自身と私の周りの人たち（Myself and People Around Me）に焦点を当てました。子どもたちは、お互いに何が違っていて何が似ているのかを楽しく発見したり、自分の好きな色で塗ったクレヨンの塗り絵をクラスメイトの前で発表したりしました。また、以前から学んでいる色（虹の七色）について、色の歌を練習したり、色に関連したゲームも行い、学びながら再認識していました。

To close out the week, the students giggled as we painted their ticklish feet and hands to collect imprints for their end-of-the-year portfolios. With that, we are looking forward to more fun to come!

週の最後には、UOIのポートフォリオのために、くすぐったさに笑いながら足や手に絵の具を塗って手型と足型をとりました。これからまたどんな楽しいことが待っているのか、とてもワクワクしています！
